1. General Policy
ShortListHQ operates on a subscription basis with monthly billing. We understand that circumstances may change, and we aim to be fair and transparent about our refund policy.
All subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. By default, subscriptions are non-refundable. However, we offer refunds in specific circumstances as outlined below.
2. Refund Eligibility
2.1 Free Plan
The Free plan is free of charge and does not require payment. No refunds apply to the Free plan.
2.2 Paid Subscriptions
Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:
- Service Failure: If the Service is unavailable or non-functional for more than 48 consecutive hours due to our error
- Billing Error: If you were charged incorrectly or charged for a plan you did not select
- Duplicate Charge: If you were charged multiple times for the same subscription period
- Unauthorized Charge: If your account was charged without your authorization
2.3 Refund Requests
To request a refund, you must:
- Contact us within 7 days of the charge
- Provide your account email and transaction details
- Explain the reason for the refund request

3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will NOT be issued for:
- Change of mind or no longer needing the Service
- Not using the Service during the billing period
- Exceeding usage limits
- Dissatisfaction with AI-generated scores or summaries (as these are informational tools)
- Account suspension or termination due to Terms of Service violations
- Refund requests made more than 7 days after the charge
4. Refund Processing
4.1 Processing Time
Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days. The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the transaction.
4.2 Partial Refunds
In cases where you have used the Service during the billing period, we may issue a partial refund calculated on a pro-rata basis, minus any usage fees.
4.3 Refund Method
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. If the original payment method is no longer available, please contact us to arrange an alternative method.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to the Service until the end of the period you have paid for.
Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period. You will retain access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
6. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback or dispute a charge with your payment provider, we reserve the right to:
- Immediately suspend or terminate your account
- Dispute the chargeback with your payment provider
- Prohibit you from using the Service in the future
We encourage you to contact us directly to resolve billing issues before initiating a chargeback.
7. Special Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. If you believe your situation warrants special consideration, please contact us at shortlisthq@mail.com with details of your situation.
We will review each case individually and may, at our discretion, offer refunds or account credits in exceptional circumstances.
8. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
